Players must defeat fairies until a snowman spawns. Suzaku: players must partake in Fuse’s Arcane mission to Mosperiburg.This excludes Riki who cannot obtain it due to story reasons. Will automatically join anyone who collects the Vitality Rune. Bring them to his coffin and challenge him to a boss fight. Head to Sei’s Tomb in Shrike and collect his sword, shield, and mirror.
Like others, he is in Scrap’s bar and will offer to join. Undertake his puzzles and he will join anyone except Blue. Head to Devin and speak to Rei (may be impossible if she has already joined Asellus). Like Time Lord, players must finish the other magic quests.
Kylin: a Kylin Jr monster and master of Space magic. If Fuse or Doll are in the party, they clarify that Cotton works for IRPO. All party leaders except Asellus and Emelia will ask him to join. Engineer Car: recruit any other mec and head to Nakajima Robotics in Shrike. However, Blue players who lose the boss battle against Rouge will instead switch to Rouge as the main character. He will also run away from Blue, his brother and rival. He offers to join only human main characters, so Riki and T260G are not eligible. He can be found in the ports of Devin or Luminous. Rouge: the strongest human spell caster, and possibly one of the best mages around. However, he doesn’t offer to join Asellus, Riki, or T260G. Other players can start the Rune Quest and find Roufus inside Mu’s Tomb in Shrike. Roufas: a fairly good spell caster that also wields swords. Others can find her in Scrap’s bar, but she will refuse to join Asellus or Red. He is in Scrap’s bar and will join anyone. Lute: a jack of all trades that doesn’t have a strength or weakness. Now go to Scrap, and in the bar recruit Gen to take you to Wakatu. Head to the lowest levels and speak to a skeleton about Wakatu. For other scenarios, start the Arcane Quest and go to Koorong. He is T260G’s main companion and will also force his way into Riki’s party. Gen: the strongest sword master in the game. For others, players need to start the Arcane Quest and then head to IRPO to take on Fuse’s mission to Mosperiburg. He also joins Red when the latter storms the CTC headquarters. He is the eighth protagonist of the remaster, but at least one other scenario must be completed first. Fuse: a martial artist that is decent with guns and spells. Fei-On will offer to help escape however, if playing as Blue he will decline. Attempt to leave Koorong, and the airship will be swallowed by the Tanzer monster. Other main characters will need to be in the middle of the Rune Quest. Automatically joins Riki while searching for rings. Fei-On: one of the top two martial artists. Head to Baccarat for the Gold Card section, and Emelia will offer to join before going to the sewers For all other stories, players must start the Arcane Quest in Devin. 
When played during her own scenario, she can change outfits to specialize in a combat art or stat. Emelia: a gunner who is also decent at martial arts.Head to Koorong’s restaurant and speak to Annie to start the Freedom Rune quest she will fully join once entering Despair prison for the mission. Other characters will need to head to Devin’s Rune Magic shop and accept the quest to master those spells. She will automatically join Emelia, Red, and Riki during their storylines. Humans can master any art, Mystics specialize in magic, Mecs become more powerful with equipment alone, and Monsters can morph into other beasts they defeat. There are many optional party members who can be gained via side quests.
